Solicitation Description

Injection molded plastic pipette tips and centrifuge tubes are components of many types of end products used in the biomanufacturing process, for which the supply chain is currently unable to meet pandemic surge demands. The Administration for Strategic Preparedness & Response (ASPR) seeks established commercial-scale manufacturers of pipette tips and centrifuge tubes to undertake this effort, on a cost sharing basis with the United States Government. The ultimate objective is to expand domestic capacity and develop a robust supply chain for these consumables, including raw materials, components, end product and personnel resources, that is commercially sustainable during non-Public Health Emergency (PHE) periods and which can be quickly brought to maximum manufacturing capacity during times of pandemic-level demand.
